Field Application Deadlines

June 1 is the typical deadline for corn, oat and sunflower applications. However, with this year’s weather related planting issues we suggest submitting your applications once you have completed planting rather than in multiple batches. We are here to serve and if you need any assistance or more guidance please call us at 217-359-4053 and ask for Matt Raymond, Jackie Ester or Paula Palmgren.

June 15 is the typical deadline for herbicide tolerant soybean applications for field inspection.

July 1 is the deadline for Breeder, Foundation and QA Parent applications for field inspection.

Aug 1 is the deadline for all other Soybean applications for field inspection.

Visit our Deadlines page for all dates related to field inspection in Illinois and Puerto Rico. Remember a timely application means a timely field inspection. To certify crops Illinois Crop must inspect the field at the proper life stage or maturity stage of the crop. Late applications can also cause you to miss out on being listed in the directory. The Grower’s Directory is a marketing and advertising opportunity that you should take advantage of. Your membership dollars and field inspection fees go farther when you are being listed in both the on-line and print versions of our publications. Applications for Certification/Field Inspection can be found under Forms. Sign up for E-Updates for deadline reminders and deadline extensions due to weather conditions at planting.
